Homeroom teacher Takumi Kubomura struggles to handle Konagi Irie, a cheerful student who is hopelessly in love with him—though neither of them realizes it. Takumi misreads her affection as friendliness, while Konagi believes his teacher duties are just his way of spending time with her. When Takumi overhears Akkun saying cruel things to his girlfriend Nontan, he confronts him. Akkun explains it’s actually pure-hearted young love. Wanting to understand his students better, Takumi asks Akkun to say those same hurtful words to him, hoping to see things from Nontan’s perspective.
