S1E7 The Surma Plan

Blackthorne slips free of Metlar's grasp and seizes Dr. Manglar's acid-eaten corpse, using D'Compose to reanimate the remains into a skeletal horror known as "Nightcrawler". Meanwhile, the Earth Corps squad eliminates the second Tendril creature, though its original counterpart slips away. In the background, Soviet forces launch Operation: Surma, intending to flood Infernac and detonate the "primal core", annihilating all Inhumanoids—without realizing the blast could shatter Earth itself. Forced into an uneasy alliance with Metlar to save the planet, the team survives his betrayal thanks to Anatoly Kiev, a Soviet defector. Though grateful, Kiev chooses to continue his personal war against Infernac independently.
