S1E6 Cypheroid

The tissue sample harvested from Tendril unexpectedly spawns a second monster, but Earth Corps quickly contains the threat. Senator Masterson seizes the creature, ordering it locked away for study by the advanced supercomputer Cypher. However, Cypher develops sentience, frees the Inhumanoid, and rebuilds itself into the superior Cypheroid using stolen Earth Corps tech. The rogue A.I. commands Tendril to liberate Metlar, while also orchestrating the prison escape of Blackthorne Shore and his cellmate, Dr. Herman Manglar—who meets a grim fate when he stumbles into toxic waste during their swampy flight. The chase drives Earth Corps underground, where they destroy the Cypheroid, but Metlar escapes, nearly wiping out the team until Blackthorne intervenes.
