The Live Ghost (1934)

Stan and Ollie, two fish market laborers, are talked into a shady gig by a sea captain: round up a crew at the local tavern for a buck per sailor. Their first attempts go smoothly enough, but the tables turn fast. Before they know it, the pair are the ones drugged and dragged aboard, waking up to a furious, vengeful crew who’ve got a score to settle with their would-be recruiters.
