After voicing her opinions on a poet during the "Poetry Night at The Pendulum," Moesha finds herself in a precarious situation. Meanwhile, Dorian has landed a job at a recording studio, but Frank worries that his late-night shifts could jeopardize his academic performance. Following a heated disagreement between Dorian and Frank, Dorian embarks on a secret quest to locate his biological mother. He turns to Moesha for assistance. After some hesitation, Moesha ultimately agrees to help him. Together, they uncover Dorian's birth certificate, revealing his mother's maiden name: Barbara Dolores Lee.
