In the remote High Arctic, life is deeply connected to the changing seasons. Throughout the long winter, darkness reigns as the sun remains hidden for months, enveloping the land in an endless night. However, when summer arrives, it ushers in a vibrant burst of life as the ice melts away. During the harsh winter, the polar bears dominate the landscape, while the warmer months welcome the majestic ice whales—narwhals, belugas, and bowhead whales—into the frigid waters.
