S1E37 The Shape Stealer

Zurg unleashes his latest invention, Project X, a Lurker-like entity that can envelop and control others, with the goal of eliminating Buzz Lightyear. The creature first targets Buzz's neighbor, Mr. Hayman, who attacks Buzz with hedge clippers. When Buzz heads to TradeWorld to confront the petty criminal Lardak Lurdak, Project X takes over Ed the Courier and pursues him. On TradeWorld, it seizes a Vulturan, a pig-like bystander, and a bus driver, all of whom try to eliminate Buzz. After a bus crash, the shape stealer disappears, only to resurface later at Star Command, taking control of an LGM, then Booster, and ultimately Buzz himself, all while remaining undetected. As Nebula traps Buzz in Combat Mode, the tension escalates.
