**Title: The Mystery of the Hidden Timepiece** Plot: Devious Jack Hardisty steals $100,000 from his father-in-law, Dr. Blane, and subsequently attempts to extort more money from the unsuspecting doctor. In a bid to stop Hardisty's schemes, Dr. Blane enlists Perry's help. However, just as Perry begins to investigate, Hardisty is found murdered, complicating the case and raising questions about who might have wanted him dead.
