Martin Scarsden arrives back in his hometown, eager for a tranquil getaway with his new girlfriend, Mandy Bond. However, their plans are abruptly derailed when Martin's childhood friend, Jasper Speight, is discovered dead. The situation intensifies as Mandy becomes both the sole witness and prime suspect in the investigation, plunging Martin into a web of mystery and complicating their holiday aspirations.
