The second body is identified as Celia Morau, a girl who had been missing, prompting the police to investigate the possibility of a serial killer. They plunge into Paris's underground scene in search of leads. As the investigation stalls and frustration grows, Judge Roban warns that he might pass the case to the Serious Crime Squad. However, just as tensions rise, a significant breakthrough in the case emerges.
