The United Current Junior Cadets come aboard the Calypso for a visit, but the young recruits are far more interested in their handheld devices than the ship or its crew. Determined to make a good impression, Lettie goes out of her way to engage them, trying everything from showing off her duties to sharing sea stories. Despite her best efforts, their eyes stay glued to screens, leaving her to wonder if she’ll ever break through their digital distractions.
