In New York City, Miss Parker and Sydney realize they have just missed Jarod, who recently assisted a tanker ship in Alaska. Currently, Jarod is disguised as a doctor, investigating a medical procedure that left a young boy paraplegic. During his undercover work, he forms a connection with a Sicilian woman facing her own health challenges related to digestive issues.
