Kevin McCloud tracks the journey of teacher Michele Long and architect Michael Howe as they embark on the ambitious restoration of a century-old blacksmith shop in County Antrim, close to the Northern Irish coast. Lacking significant hands-on experience, Michael aims to handle as much of the work as he can on his own. However, the coastal weather proves to be brutal, with harsh conditions and a limited budget of £150,000 leading to significant delays, extending the project timeline from one year to three.
