Gyoumei uncovers the truth behind Reirin and Keigetsu's swapped identities and makes his way to the Kou Palace to find Reirin. When he questions Tousetsu about what happened, she stays silent, bound by the promise she made to Reirin. Reading the meaning behind her hesitation, Gyoumei responds by taking off his crown of his own accord, making his intentions unmistakably clear. In the meantime, Reirin returns to the Shu Palace alongside Keigetsu, determined to break the curse once and for all.
