In 1997, LAPD officers Ed Brentlinger and John Caprarelli head to a standard bank robbery report, but they are met with the formidable "High Incident Bandits" armed with AK-47s. Amid the turmoil on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, the officers, equipped only with their standard pistols, engage in a fierce shootout. LAPD SWAT Officer Rick Massa receives the urgent call for assistance and hurries to the location.
