The scene is set with a vibrant lineup of comedians including Sam Kinison, Andrew Dice Clay, Pauly Shore, Sandra Bernhard, Jim Carrey, and Damon Wayans, among others. It was a time of revelry and laughter, but the late '90s took a turn when Mitzi Shore fell ill. Without her guiding presence, the Comedy Store struggled to maintain its momentum, leading many of its top talents to seek out other venues.
