Clangers (1969)

S1E1 Flying

Major Clanger has created a flying contraption, and with much fanfare, the Clangers inflate the compressed air balloons that will lift it. However, as Major Clanger takes off, the machine quickly falls apart in midair, leaving him disheartened. To cheer him up, Mother Clanger sends Small Clanger and Tiny Clanger in their pole-car to gather green soup from the soup-wells. After Major Clanger enjoys his soup and settles down for a nap, the two little Clangers inspect the wreckage of the flying machine. When Tiny Clanger accidentally knocks off a power-balloon, it shoots skyward, sparking Small Clanger's curiosity. He runs to the soup-dragon, who blows warm air into the balloon. Tying Tiny Clanger to it, Small Clanger leaps through the caves, buoyed by the balloon. The other Clangers join in a celebratory dance, but when the string slips, Tiny Clanger floats up to the ceiling
