S1E19 The Song of Triumphant Love
In a Renaissance Italian city, two lifelong friends—the painter Mucius and the musician Fabius—both love the beautiful Valeria, who chooses Fabius as her husband. Consumed by jealousy, Mucius departs for the East, returning years later with a mysterious, ancient melody. Playing it on his violin, he casts a spell over Valeria, compelling her to visit him each night in a trance. Fabius, discovering this, confronts Mucius, who reveals the song’s dark power. In a final, violent struggle, Mucius is killed, but the haunting tune lingers, forever binding Valeria to a memory of forbidden love.
