Louise Bergstein and Karina Hørup learn that the serial killer has taken a new victim, William Fjeldby, who was snatched from his car. His wealthy father, Gorm Fjeldby, clings to the belief that William has been kidnapped for ransom and is still alive. As the police intensify their search for William, Peter Vinge attempts to throw a birthday celebration for Johannes in Masja's absence. Meanwhile, Johannes starts to sense that his father is keeping a secret from him.
