In 1975, George Lucas faces a significant challenge: no visual effects studio in Hollywood can bring his ambitious project, "The Star Wars," to life. Teaming up with cinematographer John Dykstra, he gathers a diverse group of imaginative artists and visionaries to tackle the task. However, despite their innovative approaches and cutting-edge technology, the team at Industrial Light & Magic struggles to keep pace with the project's demands, falling further behind schedule.
