Caroline Pool, a portrait artist, takes on the challenge of painting Alec Burrough, an 88-year-old dairy farmer from Devon who shows no signs of slowing down. After dedicating 70 years to farming, Alec still rises at dawn to tend to his cows and operates his tractor, working alongside his family members from three different generations. Caroline is celebrated for her allegorical style, aiming to convey the essence and personality of her subjects rather than just their physical likeness. For her, capturing individuality is far more significant than merely replicating a face.
