Mary dedicated herself to fighting against gangs, aiding law enforcement in securing convictions, and earning recognition as a cherished hero in Eugene. She was candid about her son’s battle to avoid gang involvement and the threats posed to other local kids. Partnering with a well-known high school senior, she worked to raise awareness about gang violence among students. However, after that student was tragically murdered in his home, the police started to doubt Mary's honesty. They began uncovering a much more sinister aspect of her story.
