S1E3 License to Not Drive

With her driver’s license in hand, Lahela is eager for some independence, dreaming of a trip to Starbucks with her best friend, Steph, using her mom's car. However, Clara is reluctant to let her take the vehicle. When Rip Tide, the local celebrity weatherman and a kind mentor, encourages Lahela to embrace risks and take control of her own life, she interprets his words as a call to action. Taking matters into her own hands, Lahela decides to borrow the family car without asking.
