Despite Na Yoon’s passing, Detective Gu continues to have doubts about Yeo Wool, given her marriage to Ji Yong. He collaborates with Soon Sang to apprehend Ji Yong using Yeo Wool as leverage. In the meantime, when Yeo Wool nullifies the contract with Wan Chai Group on Na Yoon's behalf, Ji Yong reaches out, requesting to meet her face-to-face.
