Carol is faced with a challenge when she cares for Mrs. Zahn, an elderly patient suffering from a fever, and the tests yield no clear answers. Determined to help, Carol seeks a way to bypass Dr. Jacobs and hospital regulations to continue monitoring Mrs. Zahn's condition. Meanwhile, Daniel experiences humiliation when his fellow interns discover that he lacks the fundamental skill of drawing blood, leaving him feeling inadequate among his peers.
