After a suitcase containing the body of farm owner Darren Bailey is retrieved from the river, suspicions arise around the immigrant workers. Bill uncovers that the farm was involved in laundering illegal funds, cleverly orchestrated by Darren's much younger Slovenian girlfriend, Lubica, who now holds sole ownership of the farm's assets. This revelation places her high on the list of suspects, especially since she and Darren had a heated argument the night he disappeared. Yet, many employees seem almost relieved by his death, sharing stories of how he exploited them at every chance, complicating the investigation.
