The Thorn staff catches wind of gossip suggesting that the paper has been sold. Annie steps over a line concerning someone important to her, risking their relationship in the process. Meanwhile, Fran and Emily find themselves in a major confrontation. As Fran and Annie seek support from one another, they both reflect on what lies ahead for them.
