Eddie Albert makes a guest appearance as an American World War I veteran residing in France with his French wife, whom he fell in love with during the war. Amidst the bombardment from a powerful German artillery piece nearby, he becomes disoriented and mistakenly thinks he's still engaged in the battle of the Great War.
