S1E17 The Squad

Saunders and Hanley's unit welcomes a new soldier from Georgia, Moseby Lovelace, who arrives sporting a pair of shiny new boots that the rest of the men, particularly Saunders, envy. While Lovelace is eager to experience combat, he shows little interest in routine soldier tasks like digging foxholes. When Hanley organizes a night reconnaissance patrol to assess whether the Germans have retreated, Lovelace jumps at the opportunity to prove himself.
