In her last winter of middle school, Nozomi Onda faces the tough decision of selecting a high school. Eager to keep playing soccer with the boys, she ultimately follows her advisor Samejima's suggestion and joins the girls' soccer team at Warabi Seinan High School, known as the "Warabis." On her first day, the newcomers are pitted against the second-year players. She finds herself alongside midfielder Midori Soshizaki, who once led her middle school team to a national tournament third-place finish, and Sumire Suo, a speedy full-back known for her quickness on the field.
