The group journeys to the capital so Alfred and Maurice can deliver their report in person to Captain Georg. En route, they encounter two young Dayerehan twins, claiming to have escaped a monster assault. The siblings quickly grow fond of Alfred, clinging to him with an unsettling familiarity that hints at something more beneath their innocent facade.
