In light of the recent murders, the church insists on making the details public. Pembleton engages in a perplexing interrogation with a witness who exhibits multiple personalities and ultimately reveals herself to be the murderer. However, just as he is about to secure a confession, her attorney intervenes, leading to her eventual televised admission. This ordeal causes Pembleton to grapple with his beliefs. Meanwhile, Bayliss takes on a more vocal role in the investigation. Beau opts to spend quality time with his family and ultimately chooses to end his relationship with Megan.
