James Ray III, a well-respected lawyer and ex-NYC police officer as well as a former U.S. Marine, shared a luxurious home in Upper Montclair, NJ, with his girlfriend Angela Bledsoe, a thriving entrepreneur, and their young daughter. After returning from a weekend trip, Angela missed an important meeting. Concerned, Ray left their daughter with his brother, who discovered a troubling note in her suitcase and immediately contacted 911. When the authorities arrived at their home, they found Angela lifeless on the kitchen floor, while Ray and his BMW had mysteriously vanished.
