The Wilder (2023)
Little Eva, a Greek-Romanian girl who struggles with a speech impediment, loses both parents in a single tragic accident. Her only Greek relative, Loukas, is a reclusive and deeply prejudiced grandfather who has never met her—and he flatly refuses to take her in. With Eva’s future hanging in the balance, social worker Marina, herself scarred by a broken home, steps in. She chooses to battle alongside Loukas against the ghosts of his past, pushing them both toward a redemption neither has ever dared to seek.
