Tony Hill lends his expertise to the police as they delve into a string of murders. His profiling indicates that the perpetrator might eventually step up as a possible witness, directing the investigation toward Bernard Kelly. In his mid-thirties and still residing with his overbearing mother, Bernard appears to match the profile, but Tony harbors reservations due to noticeable differences in the methods of the attacks.
