On a boat crossing the waters, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng unexpectedly run into Jiang Fengmian returning home. They quickly fill him in on everything that’s happened. Without hesitation, Jiang Fengmian ties up Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng, and Jiang Yanli, sending them far away to safety. He alone heads back to Yunmeng Jiang Sect to rescue his wife. That very night, the sect is completely wiped out by Qishan Wen Sect. Now, the three siblings must fend for themselves. While Wei Wuxian steps out to buy food, Jiang Cheng slips away. When Wei Wuxian returns, Jiang Cheng has been captured by Qishan Wen Sect. Determined, Wei Wuxian heads back to the ruins of Yunmeng Jiang Sect to save him.
