Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and Jiang Cheng encounter Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan, who have captured the culprit behind the Yueyang Chang Sect's destruction. Together, they escort the prisoner to the Qinghe Nie Sect. There, they are told they must visit the Qishan Wen Sect to be taught proper etiquette. Days later, Wen Chao of the Wen Sect launches a sudden assault on the Qinghe Nie Sect.
