As Kimble and Sister Veronica make their way to Sacramento, they remain oblivious to a roadblock set up by the Nevada State Police at the border. Kimble encounters a suspicious ranch hand named Chuck Mathers, who questions his true identity. Meanwhile, Sister Veronica inadvertently learns about Kimble’s past when she sees a TV news report revealing his identity. Despite this revelation, she chooses to keep her newfound knowledge from Kimble, complicating their journey as they navigate the challenges ahead.
