The global landscape of the war on terror varies significantly. At Camp Shorab in Afghanistan, a contingent of Marines gets ready to head home, yet they're constantly reminded of the persistent threats that linger in the region. Simultaneously, in Niger, U.S. Army Special Forces collaborate with local troops to fight against extremism, but their mission takes a grim turn when four Americans lose their lives in an assault. As the nation grieves these losses, the battle against violent extremism carries on.
