As Seiji's condition deteriorates, Hokuto at last chooses to visit his father. Before Seiji passes away, the two manage to make peace with each other. In his will, Seiji names Hokuto as the next president of the Mamiya Group. This decision sparks outrage within the Mamiya family, and Reiko insists that Hokuto undergo a DNA test to confirm he is truly Seiji's son.
