In Vancouver, architects and engineers collaborate to construct an environmentally sustainable convention center along the waterfront. Meanwhile, a lift bridge is being developed in Bordeaux, and a unique cocoon-shaped skyscraper is taking shape in Tokyo. Each project presents its own set of challenges, including the protection of marine ecosystems and the engineering of large spans.
