With the temperature hovering near zero, Steve brings Tom Silva to Lake Forest for the first time. Before visiting the project house, they check on project manager Jim Eimerman at another job he’s running. Architect John Krasnodebski shows Steve and Tom ways to ease the drywall-to-brick transition in the new eating area. Steve shares a story about a trip he and Norm took to Chicago’s Museum of Science & Industry to see planes, trains, and a captured WWII German submarine. In the Dream Kitchen, the prefinished oak floor goes in as homeowner Heidi Smith and interior designer Suzanne Cederlund unveil the emerging kitchen design plan.
