After an unsuccessful attempt on her husband’s life, a scheming wife devises a sinister plot to instill paranoia in him, making him believe someone is targeting him. This sets the stage for her to convincingly claim self-defense when she eventually shoots him. She manages to evade justice for her crime, but her greed leads her to attempt another murder for financial gain, which puts her in danger of being caught once more.
