Karen’s departure has left the family reeling, not just emotionally but also financially. With the mortgage weighing heavily on him, Dave struggles to manage on his single income and faces the possibility of moving in with Chi. Desperate for solutions, the family turns to grief counselor Ruth, who encourages them to explore unconventional, entrepreneurial ideas. Although Chi is uncertain about what that entails, she knows they need money. Dave then recalls his wealthy estranged sister, Claudia, with whom he hasn’t spoken since Brexit. While reaching out could be a gamble—given her snobbish nature—he hopes she might help him settle his debts if he approaches her wisely.
