A power outage at Chastain Memorial Hospital forces the staff to provide care without any technological assistance. Bell instructs everyone to halt admissions and move patients on life support, but when a critically ill child arrives at the ER, Conrad and Devon defy his orders. Meanwhile, Mina and Austin are faced with the challenge of conducting heart surgery on a premature infant in the dark, while Nic dedicates herself to coordinating the remaining staff and patients during the emergency blackout.
