In New York State, incarcerated individuals are welcomed into the Bard Prison Initiative (BPI), renowned for being one of the toughest college programs in the country. As they embark on their educational journey at Eastern and Taconic Correctional facilities, they quickly learn that they must meet the same stringent expectations as students attending Bard College's main campus in Annandale-on-Hudson.
