In October 1981, during the peak of the Cold War, tensions are running high, and the threat of nuclear conflict looms large. On a chilly night aboard Soviet submarine U-137, the crew is celebrating the arrival of a new baby with a lively party. As the drinks flow, things take a disastrous turn when the submarine accidentally runs aground in neutral Sweden's Karlskrona archipelago, alarmingly close to a classified naval base. “Whiskey on the Rocks” humorously recounts this incredible true event, highlighting the precarious situation that now falls to Sweden's Prime Minister, Thorbjörn Fälldin, as he navigates the escalating pressures from warmongers.
