After having a pleasant dinner with her ex, Sally, Derek grows annoyed and chooses to hang out with Kendra to prove that men and women can't simply be friends. In response, Casey seeks out a male student to befriend, hoping to challenge Derek's stance. At the same time, Edwin is anxious about George's female coworker visiting for dinner, convinced she has intentions of taking his father away from Nora.
