The Night Has Eyes (1942)
On the windswept Yorkshire moors, teachers Doris and Marian return to search for their missing friend Evelyn a year after her mysterious disappearance. During a fierce storm, they find shelter in the remote cottage of Stephen, a traumatized former pianist from the Spanish Civil War. While the tempest drives Doris to leave at the first opportunity, Marian grapples with her suspicions about Evelyn's fate and her burgeoning feelings for Stephen.
