Inspired by true events from 1998, a group of five Latino and Black teenagers from one of Miami's most challenging neighborhoods embarks on an extraordinary journey to the National Chess Championship. With the support of their unorthodox yet motivating teacher, they navigate personal struggles and societal obstacles, proving that determination and skill can triumph against the odds.
